Scottsdale Arizona Family Session: Lightchaser Workshop

When I first landed in Arizona, I went straight to a family session in the desert with Erin Witcowski Photography - the mastermind behind the LightChaster workshop (excitement ensued).

My theme for my lightchaser workshop experience has been facing fear. And it has showed up both literally and figuratively throughout the past few days. When I arrived at our location, my eyes landed on the "be aware of rattlesnakes" sign. (?!) Rattlesnakes. Fine. We got this. 

I then stayed with our gear while Erin went back to the car. My brain went automatically to this - "omg. you're going to get lost. you're going to get bit my a rattlesnake or die of dehydration." And I stopped. And I looked up at the wide open sky. I felt the setting sun on my face and watch it glow behind the distant peaks. And I told fear to go away. Just for a minute. Let me have peace for just a minute.

And the craziest thing happened. I found peace. And then I kept it. And I am still holding onto it.
