The Process

one.

You've officially taken the first step to document your life and family exactly as you are in this season of life. Each person that comes before my lens has a story, a purpose and a deep desire to be seen and understood. My job as a photographer allows me to just do that and I'm honored that you're here. I offer three collections that include digital images, prints and albums. From this moment on, I've got this. We'll start with a questionnaire that allows me to get to know your family. A month prior to our session, we will have a phone consultation at a time that works best for you. We will discuss the flow of my session which should feel like one big playdate full of games and whimsy.

two.

I will set you up with a personal online stylist. The question of 'what should we wear' is no longer something to stress about. I will provide you with an online consultation that allows you to choose existing items of clothing that will work for our setting or purchase something new with the click of a button. Your entire family will be styled from head to toe in a way that best represents you and works with the setting for our session. This enhances your Images to the max.

three.

During our session, I will put everyone at ease with a flow of prompts, games, and interactions that create light-filled images that tell a story and generate emotion. My goal is to capture your family as they are. Your authentic moments, your dynamic. Your giggles and whispers and fart jokes all rolled up into one beautiful chaotic frame. I’m going to let them run wild and chase them in the process. I’m going to make them laugh and play games. I’m going to make you love all up on them.

four.

Within 3 weeks, you will receive an online gallery with your Images to enjoy. From there, you can choose the best way to showcase your Images whether that be In the form of digital downloads, prints or albums - I guide you through choosing how to enjoy your Images.

Family

You can expect squeals of happiness and celebratory dance moves when I capture the perfect moment. I am happiest when you are happy, relaxed and enjoying your photo session so I work hard to create an elevated experience for you. I will probably bribe your children with candy and let them run wild. Your storyteller session is an outdoor session typically an hour and a half prior to sunset or before sunrise. “Look here and smile” isn’t typically my thing. We’ll get that shot, I promise. But we’ll also get those candid, silly, sincere moments that make you look and your photos smile and think “That is so us.” 

Brand

Your small business is an extension of you - the things you love, the things you are and the things you hope to create. As a small business owner, I know how important it is to represent your business in the best possible way and I am passionate about doing that with beautiful images as content for your website and social media. Together, we’ll come up with a concept that displays the heart and soul of your small business. Brand sessions begin at 475 but let’s chat more about your needs to come up with a customized experience.

Lifestyle Newborn Session

A lifestyle session is an in-home documentary style approach perfect for newborns and families. I take this approach for newborn sessions to capture the natural poses, movements and expressions of your new bundle of joy because I believe that creating life is magical and doesn’t need added props. Lifestyle newborn sessions can be arranged anywhere from 2 weeks to 2 months old. 

Legacy

Let’s get the whole family together - aunts, uncles, cousins and grandparents. From a young age, I was always drawn to photographs. I would take the family photo albums off the shelf and sit on the stairs flipping through each page, carefully examining the images in front of me. Some of my favorites were of my grandma as a young girl growing up in brooklyn - lounging on the steps of brownstones and wearing the most elegant outfits. The problem is, I barely have any photos with her and now, there are no new memories to make. A legacy session is an extended family session that includes posed and candid photos. We’ll get group shots but then spend time interacting for emotive and heartfelt images.

Boudoir

What if you decided to love yourself fiercely and celebrate your body for what it is, an amazing and beautiful work of art? Boudoir sessions are an intimate, empowering and celebration of you. FAQ’s

Q: How would you describe your style?
A: In a word? Natural. I like natural light, natural poses, natural expressions and natural interactions. I will often give you prompts that will evoke a natural response or expression so we have variety in our gallery as oppose to "Look here and smile" shots.

Q: What should we wear?

A: This is the most common question I get! Once you book, I offer a service called Style & Select. Based on your style and the look you’re going for, I put together looks with direct links to shop each outfit. It takes the guess work out of styling and gives your photos a finished look.

Q: Do you watermark your images?
A: For a full session, I never watermark photos. Your photos are for you. Once the online gallery is delivered, you have the full rights to your photos free of watermarks. For Holiday or seasonal mini sessions, each family is given 5 photos to choose from included in their package free of watermarking.

Q: How long will I take to receive our photo gallery?
A: I will send you an online gallery within 3 weeks but typically I try to do it as soon as possible even getting a sneak peak out within a few days.

Q: Do you offer prints?
A: Yes! Your gallery with come with options to purchase prints, canvas and cards in my print shop. It's easy and painless. There is no pressure to purchase prints but they're easy to order and excellent quality. You'll never want to use a photo kiosk again.

Q: Can you photoshop things in and out of photos?
A: My editing takes place solely in lightroom with natural edits. My goal is to capture you and your family exactly as you are because that's what I feel is most beautiful.

Q: How do we book with you?
A: So glad you asked! To reserve a date, a nonrefundable deposit is required at booking of the session fee. The remainder of your balance is due the week prior to your session. I will send you an invoice and accept payment by credit card or through Paypal.
